OVERVIEW

During my time at Reinaldo Correa Studio, I led the design of a dynamic three-dimensional public art piece for the new SIC building at Iowa State University Campus. This project aimed to represent the CALS program (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences) in a fun and engaging way.

The artwork takes the form of a playful three-dimensional mural resembling a pop-up book, featuring nine layers that showcase various aspects of CALS. From crops to animals to research, each layer captures the diverse elements of the program.

Designing this piece came with its fair share of challenges, such as figuring out how to connect the layers using studs and working around room monitors. But with determination and creativity, we successfully brought the project to life.

This project is a testament to my ability to tackle complex design challenges while staying true to the essence of the subject matter. It demonstrates my passion for creating visually captivating pieces that resonate with viewers.
